Jan's primary areas of responsibility include:

Jan is a 1990 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law. After law school, he served as a judicial clerk with Ohio's Twelfth District Court of Appeals. Prior to coming to Ohio State, Jan worked in the Education Section of the Ohio Attorney General's Office and served as Associate General Counsel at the University of Cincinnati. He also attended Bowling Green State University where he obtained his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. Jan has written on a variety of matters concerning student sexual harassment, hate speech on the college campus, the Fourth Amendment and residence halls, and academic freedom.
