Angie Blevins Risk Management Senior Analyst

Angie S. Blevins is a Risk Analyst who is nationally certified as a Registered Paralegal, Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management, and an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Paralegal. Angie provides litigation and risk management support to the Wexner Medical Center.  In her role, Angie’s main focus is working with the litigation manager, and attorneys from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, to defend professional negligence litigation filed against the Medical Center.  She also supports the risk management team by serving as a hospital on-call risk manager.  With an interest in litigation and risk management education, Angie is a leader in the development and presentation of legal educational programs for the Wexner Medical Center faculty and staff.   

 

Angie earned her Vocational/Practical Nursing Certificate from Temple Junior College and was employed for a number of years at an academic medical center in Central Texas.  She also holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from Central Texas College. Prior to joining the Office of Legal Affairs, Angie was employed as a litigation paralegal in a private law firm specializing in insurance defense law. Angie is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Ohio Society of Health Care Risk Managers, and associate member of the Ohio State Bar Association.  Angie is past President of the Ohio Society of Health Care Risk Managers.
