Records Retention
As a large, dynamic, and complex organization, it is important for the University to effectively manage the retention and disposition of its records. Records retention and disposition policies are important for documenting and managing University decisions, demonstrating legal compliance, supporting institutional efficiencies, providing litigation support, and preserving the University’s institutional memory. Records management policies are overseen by the University Libraries. Information about those policies, retention schedules, and other issues relating to records management can be found at the following website: https://library.osu.edu/osu-records-management.
