Valerie Jama currently practices Healthcare and Regulatory Law at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Office of Legal Affairs - Risk Management. Her areas of responsibility include hospital operations and ambulatory legal issues (including disruptive patients and workplace safety), outside litigation and subpoena management, patient safety event investigation, policy review, regulatory reporting and responses, and consent drafting. Valerie is a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio and in the US Southern District Court of Ohio. Previously, Valerie worked at the Ohio Attorney General's Office in the Health and Human Services Division, where she conducted administrative hearings, and she also practiced licensure defense in her first position.
