Amy joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 2019 where she leads the Academic Affairs-Student Life practice group, which provides advice and counsel to the university’s Office of Academic Affairs, the Department of Athletics, the Department of Public Safety, the Office of Student Life, the Office of Government Affairs, the Civil Rights Compliance Office and to the university on immigration matters. Amy also serves as an adjunct at Mortiz College of Law where she teaches First Amendment.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Amy spent many years at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office where she was the Chief of the Education Section leading the team of lawyers responsible for representing all of Ohio’s public institutions of higher education and the Ohio Department of Education.
