Real Estate & Facilities

The Office of Legal Affairs provides legal support and assistance to the University, and its colleges, departments and units, including the Wexner Medical Center, for all construction, leasing, acquisition/sales and other real estate and development matters. 

Support and assistance is provided primarily to, and in collaboration with, the University’s Planning, Architecture and Real Estate (which has responsibility for all real estate transactions as well as physical and space planning developments for the Columbus campus and regional campuses), Facilities Design and Construction (which oversees campus design, construction, and renovation projects, technical support services and building design standards), and Facilities Operation and Development (supports The Ohio State University’s academic facility needs through design and construction, environmental health and safety, energy services and sustainability, operations, and utilities).
