Mark joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 2008.  Mark advises university departments and units on immigration matters and handles a range of immigration filings submitted by the university on behalf of international faculty and staff.  Mark also provides counsel concerning work authorization questions, I-9 compliance, and international employment.  Other areas of responsibility include working with the Office of International Affairs on issues surrounding international agreements and with the Office of Research on questions concerning export controls and international sanctions regimes.  Mark is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Washington, D.C.  Prior to joining the Office of Legal Affairs, Mark was an Associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Winston & Strawn from 1992-1994 and a Partner in the firm of Clark & Hedien from 1995-2008.
