John Plant joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 2002 and has been in his current role since 2018. John is responsible for the day to day management and oversight of the Risk Management Group and advising Medical Center leadership, physicians, administrators, and staff on general medical legal issues and risk management concerns. John previously served as a public defender in both Florida and Michigan. His experience includes juvenile, misdemeanor and felony trials including capital cases.
